According to the latest research conducted by Smart Money People, InterBay and Landbay BDMs have received commendable ratings from brokers, achieving a satisfaction rate of 94%. Legal & General Home Finance also garnered high scores at 93.7%, along with Skipton Building Society at 90.7% and Metro Bank at 90.4%.
These findings stem from Smart Money People’s H2 2023 Mortgage Lender Benchmark, the eleventh edition of the bi-annual study that delves into the state of the mortgage industry from brokers’ perspectives. The latest edition collected feedback from over 790 mortgage brokers, accumulating 3,666 individual pieces of feedback on 105 lenders.
The analysis further revealed a notable gap between the aforementioned top-performing lenders and the remainder of the field, with five lenders scoring below 70%.
Jess Rushton, Head of Business Development at Smart Money People, remarked, “Brokers highly value the role of the BDM, as we reported in December. Congratulations to InterBay, Landbay, and the others mentioned for maintaining excellent field presence. It’s noteworthy that the highest-scoring lenders operate across various lending sectors, highlighting that exemplary BDM teams are not solely determined by budgets, size, or specialization.”
Adrian Moloney, Group Intermediary Director at OSB Group, expressed pride in InterBay’s recognition: “I’m extremely proud that our InterBay Sales Team, led by Marc Callaghan, has been acknowledged for their dedication and customer-centric approach. It’s gratifying to see brokers independently acknowledge their commitment. A sincere thank you to all brokers who shared their feedback; it’s truly valued.”
Rob Stanton, Sales and Distribution Director at LANDBAY, added, “We’re thrilled that our BDM team received high rankings in the recent Smart Money People survey. The results underscore the dedication of our BDMs, who consistently support and educate our introducer partners. Their success also reflects the unwavering support they receive from the entire organization. We extend our gratitude to the introducers who ranked us highly.”
